Problem with logging into webmessenger

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I have installed Webmessenger yesterday. I have T-mobile instant email account (no BES). I also have a GPRS-data package. My BB is 7230.

I have registered with Webmessenger. My server settings are socket, port 443. Somehow it cannot connect, saying: "Can't establish connection."

What can be wrong? Thanks for any help or suggestions!

your gonna need a BES with MDS, sorry. there are a couple of companies out there that offer the service.
I go through mailstreet.com and have no problems with them, the only problem is that it costs about $23 a month.

I'm pretty sure there is another company out there that charges less but i've never used them

good luck

i am about to pick up a 7750 from verizon, and would like to know if i need to pay the extra $50 for verizons data plan in order to get the BES/MDS from mailstreet to work?

thanks

here is the thing that stinks (anyone please correct me if I'm wrong, I dont have verizon) to the best of my knowlegde your gonna need to get verizons data plan and also go with a company like mailstreet.com for their MDS service.

at least for cingular that is what i have to do. I suggest you go for the unlimited data plan (if they have one) because if your like me, you will burn through the data allotment fast!

hopefully all the carriers will upgrade their software so we wont have to go through a seperate carrier for MDS service.

have fun
