I just got a p800.
How can I check the firmware/software version and how to get and do the updates if I need to update?

Ok, I found my 4 version numbers.
Can I update the p800 myself or do I need to take it to a service center?
If I can update it myself, where can I DL the files?

no you need to take a p800 to a service center. globalmob.com is excellent.
