Hidden modem configuration on P900?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I'm trying to connect my P900 using bluetooth on my notebook and use GPRS to get on the internet.

But my problem is, the phone was locked to Fido, unlocked now, and when I attempt to connect to Rogers GPRS using a notebook I can't, as the P900 is picking up the settings for Fido and not Rogers. Even thou I created a new configuration under the internet setup on the P900. I can browse the internet on Rogers using the P900.

Under gprs log, I see the entry modem, but I can't find the configuration for the modem on the P900!

Anyone else notice this, or where I can find to change the settings?

Thanks

Use the Dial-Up Networking Wizard!..

You will need to enable the COM port your DSS-20 is on in the Phone Monitor Options for it to work first..

This should create a DUN entry based on the correct GPRS account.

Is there a way we can dial out using the non default gprs settings?

i.e. I think you can do a +cgdcont=1,"IP", "internet.com"

Where do I put this init string on the notebook?

Thanks!

Just put this as the phone number in a DUN account.

*99***n#

Where 'n' is the CID of the GPRS account you wish to connect to.

Since the Px00 family dont actually tell you the CID of each account you may need to guess it.
Count each GPRS account, from the top until you reach the one you wish to use..
If the GPRS account is third on the list the CID number is 3.

You dont need the init strings..
