Hi all,

I'm trying to write a prototype J2ME application for Blackberry 7280. All I need to do is just to connect to one of our internal http server to get some information, and display it on the screen.

So I started by installing the HTTPDemo example from the blackberry developer web site, into my blackberry. But everytime I tried to connect to any web site like yahoo, or google, I get this dialog box, saying:

"The application com_rim_httpdemo has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside".

then I hit ok, but I get the error message saying:
"java.io.IOException:Permission denied"

I followed suggestions from some other developers to put these WAP parameter after the url:

"wapgatewayip=66.209.11.61;wapgatewaypn=blackberry. net;wapgatewayport=9203".

I have Cingular as my service provider. So if anyone have done this before, I really appreciate your help to show me how to make the HTTP Demo work on my blackberry or show me any article that might be helpful.
