Plate replacement

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

So I took off the front plate a while ago but I am left with two ugly holes in my bumper and it's makes washing my car so much harder and I almost cut myself yesterday.

So, I am thinking of putting the plate mount back on but use something else for the plate.

any ideas?

A co-works has a big Smiling Joe on her Jetta which is kinda cute. I am thinking of those name plates that show cars have in car shows....

Thanks a lot guys

I would do that if I were you.

But I am not, b/c here in VA, front plates are manadatory.

maybe put a plate w/ the car make logo on it
or the way i would do it maybe put 2 plastic taps just to fill up the holes
and if needed use touch up and paint them to the same color as the bumper...

Yeah I know! I'm in Virginia Beach btw. I think are front plates and personal taxes are a pain in the ืืื. The front plates are a waste. I mean when is there going to be a time you can't eventually see the back plate of someone fleeing? Unless they go backwards down the entire street. Righttttt. Inspection stickers are annoying as well. Thank god we don't have to have city decals anymore. I got a ticket at the beach for an invalid inspection sticker. Have to go to court for that. They also ticketed me for having a valid rejection sticker (which I had dismissed). Retarded arrogant cops. All for a missing door handle!

Hey, VA Beach! I'm in Bayside, myself. And yes, I hate personal property tax... but at least we do not have to put an extra decal on the window.

As in Bayside, the neigboorhood?

Frosty Vibe, what part of Canada are you in that doesnt require front plates? I know Saskatchewan recently stopped issuing front plates, so ppl can remove them without getting a ticket now. As for what to fill in the holes with, Id recommend putting in 2 plastic plugs and paint them to match the colour of your bumper. Or if you get into a front end accident, you can always have the body shop just fill in the holes with putty and paint over it so it looks like there is nothing there.

VA does not suck anything

Posted by: FiReBReTHa

after reviewing most of VA's laws and of course based IMO, Yes it does for me.

You, drive a stock car. nice maybe, thats your enthusiasm. I drive a modified loud, aggressive looking/handling car thats my enthusaism and what i love and am a free citizen to do.

Which of us is going to get hassled in VA.

"oh maybe you shouldnt modify your car then"

whoever thinks that can suck it. I live in the US. I feel prosecuted in VA. therefore do not like it, so I live in a state that i dont have to deal with that. in my usage/imo, VA sux.

WHere in VA did this happen?

B/c my next door neighbor's Mustang is load as fcuk! It used to wake me up every morning until I learned to sleep thru it. I've seen just about every mod, even a double decker wing on a Cavalier!

So, I disagree. The only thing I really hate is the no-radar detector law.

Posted by: FiReBReTHa

ive had buds pulled for the stock wing that i have on my car, and that came on theres from factory have them get pulled over and said its AE, and an rear window obstruction.

Then from there Multiple instances for exhaust from diff people.

Radar. and I do believe tint.

Just because you have seen it, doesnt mean that the owner has not recieved flack, or will not recieve flack about it.

I will take a pic of the Mustang in the AM, just for you.

****
I only know one person get pulled for tint. And he deserved it, , b/c it was crappy.

radar is a given.

Mufflers, I'd have to see it to believe it, b/c I see and hear fart cans all day long. Hell, I'll take a pic of the riced up Civic w/ the unpainted body kit. :laughs:
