Hi everyone,

I am wondering if its possible to use the BB (7510) as a wireless modem. Example...through the usb cable connected to my laptop could I be able to surf through my laptop.

I've read a variety of info on the subject but there are so many views. Has anything concret come about?

Also im from Canada on the Telus IDEN network. Is it possible to (unlock) switch to another network like rogers or bell who use the other BBs.

There has been requests from time to time about it. Of the several forum websites, I have counted several users

Search "Blackberry Modem Laptop" on HowardForums

The main one I should mention is:
The BlackberryModem thread

We need software developers to work on a modem simulator for BlackBerry (for routing TCP/IP to the laptop as if the Blackberry was an external modem to the laptop) There are a few programs available for other brands of cellphones (including two for the TREO). It's possible and it can be done!

To RIM, if you are reading this --

If you search RIMROAD for "Blackberry Modem Laptop", you will see 18 threads. There's demand out there for this software and some people decided not to buy a Blackberry because of the lack of this feature!
