I was excited when I read that SE would release a version of the P910 with both Blackberry client support and support for the 850MHz band. Then I got this email.
"The P910a is expected to launch at the end of September. No carrier announcements have been made at this time. Also, in regards to your question re: Blackberry compatibility...
Sony Ericsson has announced a licensing agreement with RIM on their Blackberry Connect program. This is a global agreement and will allow Sony Ericsson to deliver a P910 with a Blackberry client. However, there is currently an ongoing patent lawsuit that NTP has against RIM in the US. Due to this lawsuit and not known implications to manufacturers, Sony Ericsson will not be offering the Blackberry solution in the US as of now. As things progress, Sony Ericsson will respond accordingly."
What to do?

or if you go to a Symbian site, someone may be able to supply you with the .sis files that you need if you get the 850 version

I dislike the fragmentation strategy that SE is following (like nokia was an is) - why not produce a quadband ? - argh...

I thought that the lawsuit had been settled. Sounds like someone at SE didn't get the news.
