lg 5550, can't download wallpapers

I was on zedge and when I tried to save the wallpaper it said there was insufficient free space on the device. I haven't downloaded a single wallpaper and I have 3884 kb of space on my phone

make sure its the right dimensions (120x132) and small enough.

i changed the size to 120x132 and its 7 kb. still says insufficient space. Should it be jpeg?

i use jpg or gif but bitpim turns them into bmps.
