Also, when using anvil. If a ringtone is already set at 100, how to do I get it louder? Some just ARE NOT loud enough to get my attention. And I know its possible to up it past 100, it just has something to do with Midi 0, midi 1, etc, I just can't remember. Any help appreciated.

Here is a much better (but shorter, only 33 seconds) version of Harry Connick Jr's - It had to be you.

This was a "sample" from a site that sells ring tones (YUK!

), And the site had the right click disabled on the popup java screen so I couldn't right click and save as the midi file (here) that plays.

SO: Here's what I did - This is just in case any of you run across this problem - here is a way to get the midi file. It's stored in Internet Temporary Files.

So if you run across a sample midi (30 secs or so, which is fine for a ringtone - you're gonna answer the phone before 30 secs or its gonna go to voicemail), and you are NOT able to right click and 'save as', look in the internet temp files - On WinXP its in C:, documents and settings, username, local settings, internet temporary files.

C:\Documents and Settings\ your-username-here\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

TIP: open your temp internet files folder, sort by date, and you'll see all the files from today for example, so if you've just heard the music file, you know its in there with todays date. Little tricks are so fun!

www.ringtones-1.com -> Here you can find thousands of ringtones...for free. The only catches if that they are short and you need the reference site to get them free. I believe the reference site is already on this thread somewhere. It should say something like www.getringtones.org I couldn't believe how helpful that site was!!! I know some people aren't as swift with computers as others, so to get the midi's off ringtones-1.com, all ya gotta do is....

Find the tone you want. Click on the "listen" link. It'll pop up a window where the tone plays. On that page, right click, and click view source. Scroll down alittle, and there will be a relating window site. Something that begins with http://www.getringtones.org/midi/

Cut and paste that bad boy into a new explorer, and find the number of the midi you want. Like....
on view source you'd see ;

See where it says 102366? Thats the midi number for "tatu - all the things she said". Go to the directory, (http://www.getringtones.org/midi/), go down to ringer 102366, right click it, and save it.

your good to go.

But 11 second ringers that are 90% piano suck....thats the only downfall of this site.

c0d13n3, you dont even have to do the whole listen to song in new window, view source thing......the code is on the left side of the song...so all you have to do is find the song you want look at the code, remember it, and find it on http://www.getringtones.org/midi/.......just thought that was an easier way
