sanyo 5150's battery life

I was under the impression that this phone had a battery life of about 3+ hours talk time. I just purchased this phone and after a full charge and around 2+ hours of talk time, it needed to be charged again. Am I doing something wrong, I put the sleep mode on for around 10 seconds, does a new battery need to be seasoned or something? Any help on this issue will be appreciated, thank you.

when you get a new battery it is important to charge it fully befor you do anything else, you should realize the full capacity after 3 charge cycles. on my 5150 i get 3.5 hours talk time after a full charge. you might also want to ensure that you are extending your antenna and limiting backlight use.

I hope I am doing this the right way, it is my first time. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Is it important to let the battery run down all the way prior to charging also? Thanks again.

you should never need to run the battery all the way down, if you do it is important to immediatly charge it afterwards
