I didn't no others came with it BUT all u have to do is use ur datebook alarm that's what I do to wake up in the morning...

I have alarm clock app, but it's really a PITA to use. Like Ice said, just use the datebook--it works 100% better.

I bought a cd off of ebay that add rings wallpaper and apps including and alarm clock app. The cd was only about 9 bucks shipped, and I will never be able to use all the ringtones. It came with over 13000 midi's and tons of wav rings.

You paid $9 too much.

It worked 100% better than a standard desktop alarm clock too IMO.

You can change the alert tone it uses to Alarm when the specified time hits which is good, cause then you never know if it's an alarm or if it's a phone call

You can even assign a wav recording. I use the D/C chirp sometimes to get out of meetings and what not. I set the alarm before I go in to what time I expect the meeting to degrade to inconsequential BS, then after it goes off I say "Sorry I have to take this" then go out of the room to continue my imaginary D/C convo. Works like a charm.

I can never figure out the alarm thing in the datebook. I mean I set it but it never goes off. Does the flip have to be open or closed? Maybe that's what I am doing wrong.

It doesn't matter if the flip is closed or not. Just make sure the reminder is set to "5 mintues before, 10 minutes before" etc. Also, be sure to set the "reminder" in settings to "ring" instead of "silent."

how it work with the flip closed?

Posted by: Fantasia

You can actually go into reminders select custom set it to 0 min, hours, or days and it will ring at the selected time and not before.

"Set it, and forget it" Maybe its different on the I830 but I just set the alarm then close the flip and it automatically suspends.

Anyone having this problem or know how to fix it:

Since I upgraded my i830 to sw ver. .03 my date book locks up every time I enter an item in the datebook. When I press done to save the entry and exit, my phone locks up on stored with the title and date and I have to remove the battery to get the phone to reset. Any ideas on a fix for this?

Also,

even if I close the flip it is still locked up.

Another alarm clock I use on my i730 is the Brookstone alarm clock. It is basic, and it works.
Flip has to be open though. But it's LOUD, so it works perfectly for me.

Both are good.

You probably had a reoccurring event on it before the upgrade. I think I had to go to the first instance of the event and delete them all before mine acted right again.

I looked, but I do not see any reccurring events, I did have one but it is gone, and datebook won't let me use day view past 1 month ago, so I can't even if there was go to the 1st instance and delete it. Any other ideas?

If you have access to another SIM load it, power up, power off. Now put your SIM back in and Datebook should be clean.

Whenever you load another SIM your Datebook gets wiped. Regard, so will any voice tags you have saved...
