Some time ago I made this ringtone from old AOL wave file for my V300... and today someone overheard my phone playing this ringtone when email arrived, and suddenly everyone there wanted it

So Im uploading it here, perhaps more people wants to set their phones to play this old AOL "Youve got mail" ringtone?

BTW - no need to encode these 2 files, theyre 11kHz wav - V300+ should play them, no sweat (unless you really wanna save some extra 10kB of space on each, then convert them to mp3 ofcoz)

Ya, i use one that is an edit of the AOL you got mail- it goes, You-you-you got mutha**cking mail Biat*h, though I think I am gonna cut out the last part, I don't need my cell calling me names lol.
I also have a converted wave file that is set for when my work calls that goes FU*K....FU*K......FUUUU****KKKK!! That one gets looks lol, and use the beepbeep-Mail MuthaF*cka for texts. Lotsa cursin on this phone lol, ecept for my main ring tone, which is the classic Transformers theme

is there anyway to have only the one notification play no matter who sends the message (ie. i have youve got mail for my text )? when i have ringer ids enabled all i hear is the actual ringtone for that specific person even though its not a call but a text. so i would like to only hear the youve got mail for all contacts even though the ringer ids are enabled. thanks.

Just a little correction - 'In Those Jeans' is by Ginuwine, not Nelly.

One quick question, NineToez - how do I download the mp3? I can't right click to 'save target as' and when I click to play, and then click 'download' it just plays the mp3 in Quicktime again

Just hit the 'Download File' button, and download. If IE gives you the 'Play in browser' prompt, hit no, and it'll start to download.

When I hit 'Downlad File', the button just disappear and the mp3 plays over in the same window through Quicktime. Am I the only one having problems?

Scud, its because you (and many like you) dont bother to set their comps at all, relying on M$oft, Apple or any other manuf. of software to do it for you

Just simple file associations is all what you need.
And for downloading: try FireFox instead (or along) IE, you wont have problems like this anymore (it will always give you options to "open" or "play with" or just "save" any files...

Give ma a link to that mp3 you want and I'll pack it in zip, this should let you just download that zip and unpack mp3 on your comp...

If it opens in media player or quicktime, just go to file and then save media as.

It would be cool to make it seem like your phone talks to you.

You can use Audio Mid recorder to make your own voice tones, or find a British girlfriend and hook her up to a mic

(don't forget to share if the girlfriend thing works out for you!)

I have supposedly "excuse my interruption, but you have just received very important message" somewhere; "supposedly" because it is in japanese and I cant confirm it LOL but it is very nice/pleasant female voice, so it may really be what she says there, with such voice I doubt she swears or something

I have a V600 and recently flexed it to the engineering flex, and I now have my email client enabled and automatically check my account once 30 mins. If I get mail, the V600 will show an email icon on the internal display and a "Received ..." msg on the external display, but does not emit any alert sound. Am I missing a setting option somewhere to turn this on? I made sure I have "Notification: ON" in the email msg setup and I have ring styles set for "Text Msgs", "Voicemail", "Alarms" and EVERYTHING.

BTW, I know it is not the message alert option, since that is on and working, as I definitely get an alert sound when an SMS arrives.

Please help and thanks in advance. I can't wait to set it to "You have got mail!!!"

Go to Main Menu, select Settings, select Ring Styles, select style you want to edit (if it is set to Silent you need to select "Loud" or "Soft" - unless V600's styles differ from my V300 then someone please correct me), then scroll one line down to select its details (Loud details) and click on Change. Scroll to "Text Msgs:" line and click on change again - Ringtones will open, and thats where you should navigate to your desired ringtone and select it.

It may look complicated from this description, but trust me - it is not, just few buttons to click here and there, thats all.

If you dont have a cable: download the files to your computer, then find a wap host website and upload them there.

For ringtones you can use this site to upload there from your comp:
http://www.tones4u.net/wap/tones/uptones.php

then just use your cell browser to go there and download from there.

BUT PLS MAKE SURE FIRST THAT THE FILE YOU WANT TO UPLOAD IS NOT ALREADY THERE AND YOURE NOT UPLOADING DOUBLES

I really like the mazda [stereo] ring tone. When I click to download it, instead of a box coming up that lets me download to a folder, my windows media player opens and it starts playing it.
Am I missing something with the download option?

when I right click, it says 'why?' and does not give me a 'save target as for the Mazda ringtone. That is why I am confused at what to do on this one as it just opens it in my windows media player when I click the word download. Right clicking doesn't help me on this one it seems. Suggestion?

T720 just isnt a wap-friendly phone.
This problem is because of phone's low internet cache which supposedly is only 2KB (as I read somewhere here). Its a phone first, anything else is distant second with this phone.

yeah i got the one from eurotrip too (mail mother f###er) and my ringtone is from jay and silent bob the f### f### song had them for like since those movies came out

how come i cant get any of 9toez' mp3 sms download to work ? the site either times out or i get to download it and it just doesnt appear anywhere in my computer. not even when i use IE, it's not there. im jus saving the files to my desktop but it's not appearing there. "the connection has timed out" is what it really says.
