T39m charging

Ignoring my profile (The CX65 is my wife's phone), I have a T39m that I have no intention of replacing because it does exactly what I need, and I like the ergonomics.

It has, however, just developed its first fault, and I'd be grateful to learn if there is a known solution.

The fault is that unless I switch the phone off, and remove and replace the battery, it won't accept any charge. If I do this little routine, the battery charges normally, but if I don't, no manner of hours spent plugged in to the charger will make any difference.

I have tried replacing my battery both with a new battery, and a known good secondhand one, to no avail.

Sorry, but I don't know my firmware version as I've forgotten the exact ^ + v + * + <slider> sequence to reveal it.

Many thanks for sharing any similar experiences, and the solution if there is one.

the above is the button sequence for finding out the firmware version.

> = Right
< = Left

Once you are in the menu, there should be one that says 'SW Information'. Enter that, then post the sequence that begins with R (something like R2B003)
