Which way sounds better? Mounting it with the back facing out or in?

I have my 12" Audiobahn sub in the bandpass box, but it won't fit anywhere in my car, so it's with mount the sub with the back facing out or sell it and get a smaller tube subwoofer.

if you dont have room for a bandpass box and you have a regular box and want to make it face in.... then you must port it basically making it a smaller version of a bandpass box

if you face it out in a regular box then you have to make sure you get a good trunk seal in your car....

for looks id go with bandpass box

but my cousin has eclipse subs and he uses a regular box... sounds great even better than his twin pioneers in a bandpass

in essence a regular box with a good sealing trunk will make your trunk the bandpass box

I don't have room for any box, I have a '91 Camaro. I can't put a box or speakers on the flat space behind the back seat because of my t-tops storage bag.

Get a better sub, and a smaller one. Get the JL w7 (8 inch version). I know your thinking 8" sub?? I heard one of these 8 inch subs playing in a car audio store and it sounds sick. So much bass from a little sub. I know it may cost more than an audio bahn, but I'm pretty sure it'll sound better, and it probably will fit in your trunk.

I know they sound good because my dad has a Bazooka 8" tube in his truck. My only thing is they are expensive (especially the Bazooka ones).

W7's are the best. I would get one on ebay, there are more than enough of them on there, brand new for much less.

Those are fricken expensive! I just looked them up and they are bidding at double the price of the 8" Bazooka tube subs buy-it-now price.

I got it on eBay, IIRC I think I got it for like $52 including shipping.
