I was under the impression that you couldn't put a gif on your phone. I have tried to email the gif to my phone 4 times. The attachment always gets droped for some reason. The file is only about 8k, so it shouldn't be a size issue. Do you have an animated gif set as your wallpaper on a 8900?

When I was trying it before there must have been a problem with the network. I tried it today and my phone actually got the gif image. My problem now is that the animation is very very slow and jerky. It's not when it is ran on my computer. The file size is only 8KB. How can I speed this up?

Yes there is an animated format based on png, it's called 'mng'. Looks like you need to go back to portable graphics formats 101.
