V300 Flashing keypad

Hello to all. I recently installed an all-red flashing keypad on my V300. Looks really nifty, at least it did until it stopped working. I followed all of the directions perfectly when I installed it. After having it in for about a week, it stopped working. I'm not sure why, but the regular white led keypad lights still work. I'm confused.
