Hi, I have the 8900 with the Radio Shack data cable 17-792. I've successfuly used the cable to transfer wallpapers, etc., but can I use it so that my phone acts as a modem when connected to my laptop?

If this has been discussed elsewhere, I'd appreciate a pointer.

this is link and one of the links inside this thread was where i was able to successfully use my cdm8900 as a modem(although i think i figured it out luckily)...now all i'm looking for is a confirmation that doing these methods are in actuality FREE...i really dun wanna pay like a dollar for every k/bit i download through my phone...
