sigh, another nice phone that won't work in NA

Posted by: deadTamago

cool... it looks exactly like D506i in Japan...
i guess if we have i-mode in NA, we'll start getting those phones too.

Show it for sale here and shows Triband.

http://www.worldexonline.com/index....543&product=377

Posted by: braindead5400

alicell says its dual band but they are probably wrong

Posted by: bronco

its bs because it says its 2mp but its actually 1mp pics interpolated to 2mp. so its actually no better then a gx32. even worse with the lack of even crippled bt. and its a huge phone...not worth it in my opinion...

Posted by: deadTamago

no BT
but it's triband for sure from the Mitsubishi Telecom official website!

Posted by: Holishi

More M900 live pictures, http://www.mobile01.com/topicdetail...&t=47850#330014

Posted by: bronco

those pics are from www.worldexonline.com ive bought a few phones from that site so theyre very trustworthy, there was a guy representing that company on hofo. his name was csschong if im not wrong.

Posted by: braindead5400

you mean vincentchong?

Posted by: bronco

woops, yea vincentchong. think csschong is another guy on another forum.. my bad

Posted by: braindead5400

I wonder why he hasn't posted any new pics of phones on the forum

Posted by: EMAGDNIM

So is it GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900???

And can you use your MP3s as ringtones???

Posted by: Kevbodian

i dunno about mp3 ringtones but who cares.. it has an mp3 player!

and yes Europe triband 900/1800/1900

so i plan to get this phone as my next phone, but not until the price comes down a whole bunch ahahaha....

Posted by: Kevbodian

mp3 ringtones are a yes!

Posted by: EMAGDNIM

You have now peaked my interest!!!....

This phone looks VERY interesting...

Posted by: braindead5400

I'm debating whether or not I want to get this phone, I've got my S700i and I don't see anything that the mitsu does that my SE can't

Posted by: aboveandbeyond

does the phone have a good ui?

Posted by: johnmoon

Is there anyone who has one yet?
Im not sure how good camera does this phone have
but its pretty big flip phone i would say, ive compared m700
with s700i at phonescoop.com and they were almost the same.
plus the phone doesnt come with any cable so how we connect
it to PC and which software should we use?

anyway, its getting cheap drastically
(someone is selling one in brand new condition for 700CDN)

Posted by: EMAGDNIM

Its still kinda high priced around eBay and online cellphone shops.

Posted by: ajamils

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...5735121151&rd=1

Even on the phone it say thats its a "Megapixel CCD"... which means thats its NOT a true 2.0 megapixel camera. Although rest of the features are nice but I'm gonna wait for Sharp's 2.0 camerea phone.

Posted by: bronco

Built in 1.0 MP Fujinon CCD Digital Camera (2.0 MP recorded 1224 x 1632 pixels)

thats wat it is... a jibbed version of a 2mp. its kind of like k700s extended mode.

Yeah, after digging around for more info on it I found out this info as well. I was hoping that it was a true 2.0 MP cam but oh well.

the Sharp 902 comes out soon enough...

Posted by: GT-[R]

what this phone has over the s700: mini-sd card slot... can go higher then 128 mb if u really need it to

Posted by: braindead5400

thats not enought to make me buy it though

Posted by: bronco

same..not unless its cheaper.

Posted by: silencer162

We've got this in SG... $698 with 2 year plan..

Posted by: braindead5400

i wouldn't pay that much for it

i say give it a little while - perhaps a month or two - the price will drop - its already around $620 on ebay (x1387) - it went from 698-->679-->622 in less than a month on his site...

i say itll be about the $400 range soon - its droppin like the 6260 did (which went from 700-->400 in less than 2 months) - hopefully it doesnt indicate a dud - like with the 6260...

Posted by: hotweiss

The camera quality is quite disappointing :-( It's much worse than the S700i.

See for yourself:
http://www.pconline.com.cn/mobile/r...0/470662_3.html

Posted by: braindead5400

I don't think they are THAT bad. Some of them look really werid but thats probably a result from the interpolation. They look much better when resized though

Posted by: ajamils

Personally I really liked the picture quality. It might not be great for a 2mp camera but still. Its not bad.

Posted by: braindead5400

thats because its not a 2mp camera

Posted by: UHB

nice looking phone.

Posted by: longj49

believe it or not but i have just traded my 1.5-month old se s700i for a brand new mits m900 (plus some cash for me).

personally i dislike manipulating the swivel keypad of the s700i, and it's also so inconvenient to lock/unlock the s700i's keypad like other candybar phones. i have always preferred clamshell phones. the s700i is a fantastic, feature-rich phone, just not for me.

i find that the m900's 2-megapixel interpolated camera performs better than the s700i, and the color renditions are more true-to-life. radio and bluetooth are no big deal to me as i can use a card reader or infrared for interfacing with pc.

will try to post some cam pics later on.

Posted by: wyotin

For those who own Misubishi M900, did you try to use it on Rogers (Canada).

We have try on 1 of the unit, it can't make out going call on Rogers SIM Card. We can accept call without any problem.

If anyone have any idea please let us know. Thank you very much for your time.

much worse then s700... u make it sound like s700 is the worst camera out there... lol

Posted by: GT-[R]

i saw the demo unit of the phone inperson

its pretty big... similar size as the s700

Posted by: longj49

ok, here's my first picture taken from the mits m900:

Posted by: braindead5400

Jesus Christ that big, try resizing it, I want to see the quality of the pic when its resized to maybe vga

Looks pretty ×××× nice tho

Posted by: longj49

her u go, resized to vga:

and another m900 pic:

can't get this kind of pic quality from my former se s700i. the colors are realy rich.

Posted by: braindead5400

WOW, the pics are great! I'm getting a little bored with my s700i, I think I may have to look into this phone

Posted by: longj49

outside of japan the mits phones are really underrrated. maybe overseas marketing efforts not enough? this phone is amazing, and it's much cheaper than the s700i too. real value for money.

Posted by: braindead5400

where'd you get it cheaper than the s700i? Its slightly more than the s700 on ebay

Posted by: longj49

got it through a friend that just came from singapore. they're selling it there for about us$485.00 brand new. the s700i's price there is about us$620. it's even cheaper in hongkong.

Posted by: braindead5400

wow, all the online shops sell the mitsu for more

Posted by: longj49

just like the gx32, the m900 has a macro setting for real close-up shots like this:

this feature is lacking in the s700i unfortunately.

I just got the Mitsubishi M900 as well. The phone is a BEAST!
However, the downside is, this is essentially a 1.6 MP camera phone in reality, NOT 2.0 MP, and Mini SDs are currently hard to find since it is not popularized yet.

Additionally, longj49, can you find the function that enables picture caller ID in the phone? I could not locate it = (

Posted by: longj49

to enable picture caller id,
- go to main menu
- select Phone Book
- select Add name
- select Phone names
- enter all the info till you reach the bottom where you can add the picture you want.

apparently picture caller id is only available if your numbers are stored in the phone and not in the sim card, but i'm not 100% sure about this though.

hope this helps.

btw, the phone's camera is 2-megapixel interpolated if you check mits' site. but 1.6 or 2-megapixel, it still takes great pictures!

Posted by: longj49

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

Posted by: offline5555

That's what I exactly did but picture caller ID still did not work. Say I add X as a name and X calls me, I would only see the picture during the conversation between me and x, but I would not see the "caller id picture" from the external screen when x calls.

I mean is not truly a 2.0 MP, and I am making an assumption that the true quality is somewhere between 1.3 MP and 2.0 MP. I could be wrong, though.

Posted by: longj49

you're right - have not noticed that since i don't use that feature extensively. my habit is to open the phone immediately once it rings.

Posted by: offline5555

dang that sux... how can this phone have no picture caller id with all these features? doesnt make too much sense to me.

Posted by: longj49

let's explore further - can't believe the feature's not there.

Posted by: longj49

caller picture id works!

i just added another number into the phone's memory and the picture showed up both on the outer and inner screens while ringing and during conversation.

great phone!

Posted by: braindead5400

I believe the camera is a 1.3 megapixel camera, I want one now, I think I'll be selling or trading my SE S700i

Are you using Mitsubishi M900 on Fido or Rogers?

Posted by: longj49

my friend in singapore sent me these pics taken from his friend's m900:

really good pics!

Posted by: ajamils

how is the mp3 player ?? is it any better than s700 or Gx300 ? What about the screen ?

Posted by: longj49

s700i's mp3 player has better bass and has an equalizer. m900 has less slightly bass but performs better in high frequencies, but no equalizer, and maximum size per song is 5mb. imho gx30/32's mp3 player sucks.

s700i's TFT and gx30/32's CGS silicon screens are better, but the m900's 260k TFD screen is not too shabby at all.

m900's complete specs here:

So would recommend me getting a mitsu ?? even though I have Gx32 ? How does the picture quality compare ?

Posted by: braindead5400

I can't believe there is a maximun size for the songs. Hopefully, I don't have many that are over 5mb

Posted by: ajamils

Quote:

Do u know if there is a limit on video size ?? Like if i wanna download a full movie on mini SD...can I do that ? cuz I can't do that on Gx32 because of the stupid limit.

Posted by: longj49

according to mitsu's official m900 specs for video:

Video Recorder
QCIF (176x144) and Sub QCIF (128x96)
Video Size Limit : Fit to Mail (300KB) or Maximum (5000KB)
Video Recording Time Limit : Up to 10 minutes and 30 seconds

i am not sure as to the video playback time/size limit. have yet to try.

imho m900's photo quality is MUCH MUCH BETTER than s700i or gx30/32, as can be seen from the samples i have posted here. this is the main selling point of the m900.

i also had a gx32 which i traded in for the s700i, and then traded the s700i for the m900. personally i like the m900 more than the s700i or gx32. mind you however, if bluetooth or fm radio is a big thing for you, then this phone is not for you because it has neither.

For me the main features are the camera, mp3 player and screen. So if mitsu is better in these departments then I'm sure i'm gonna like it too.

Can you please check the video playback limit and let me know. Thanks. Also, how is the video recording capability. Is it better than Gx32 ?

See, I can't find anyone with a m900 who wants to trade it so I'm gonna have to buy it straight out. At least I'll be able to do a comparison to my S700i

Posted by: longj49

unable to find any full-length 3gp movies, but managed to play a couple of samples of more than 10meg with no problems, even in full-screen mode. i don't think there's any limitation on video playback, but this needs to be confirmed once i get hold of a large-capacity mini sd card (hopefully 512mb). only one 32mb mini sd came with the phone.

video recording and playback quality are comparable with gx30/32 - fairly smooth.

Have u tried making continues video by pausing and continuing ? How long can u make a video by doin that ?

Can you please post some more pics and vidoes ? (I can help you with web space, if u like)

i suspect recording in that way would be still limited as per specs, but i would have to wait till i get my extra memcard. right now my 32mb card is filled with songs.

Ebay, my friend.

my friend introduced me to this forum so i thought of sharing some info and pics on the fantastic mitsu m900 phone.

the m900 is slowly but surely becoming popular in asia, and in singapore where i live, it is a big hit in the mobilephone users community. in japan it is one of the most popular. for my case this is my first mitsu phone and i just simply love it!

here's the phone:

pictures taken from m900:

pros:
-excellent camera, 1.3mpxl ccd, 2mpxl recorded (interpolated)
-extremely light inspite of bulky size
-large outer/inner TFD 260k color screens.
-mini sd support of up to 1gb
-mp3 playback/mp3 ringtones
-variable mp3 bitrate supported
-64-poly ringtones
-smooth video recording/playback
-good battery life
-stereo handsfree included
-cheaper than se s700i

cons:
-no bluetooth
-no radio
-no pc cable available yet
-no pc software available yet
-bulky
-5mb maximum mp3 filesize per song
-10-minute limit on video recording
-only 32mb mini sd card included

Thanks for great pics. I would love to see some more

Can you please tell me that is there any restriction on video playback cuz I would like to watch full movies on it (in 3gp format)?

Posted by: nextbyte

getting a 512mb mini sd card this week, then gonna try some full length movies. will post the results.

Posted by: braindead5400

I still don't get this cheaper than S700i thing. I mean, I get it, it just sucks that its not cheaper in the US. I cant find a single online store that sells it cheaper than the s700i and only one seller on ebay sells them.

Posted by: nextbyte

Got my M900 from my service provider SingTel. Not many shops are selling it here as well. Outside of Japan, Mitsu has never been quite known for their mobilephones. With the growing demand for the M900 I hope they do something to correct the situation.

On another note, I have friends who own the GX32 or SE S700i now wanting to switch over to the M900. Mitsu has a real winner with this phone.

Ya i hope that u did something wrong cuz thats the feature that i'm looking forward to the most.

Posted by: Jack Black

Lol you can always split the movie into different files. Since most phones lack fast forward/rewind feature for movie playback, you might as well split them into chapters.

BTW, can someone post pics of the M900 beside other phones? I'd like to see a comparison of how bulky it is, I'm really interested in this phone.

Posted by: nextbyte

here's a picture of phone size comparison (courtesy of Mobile Square in Singapore):

the M900 is admittedly bulky, but surprisingly light.

btw ur suggestion on splitting the movie into chapters is very good, Jack Black.

Do u know any software that can split movies as well as convert them into 3gp format ?

Have u tried the conversation recording ?? How is the quality and wats the limit ?

Posted by: nextbyte

Am not aware of any software that can both split and convert 3gp movies, but i'm sure there should be one around.

I don't use the conversation recording feature at all, so probably need to try it out.

Btw i tried another 1-hour movie and again i get the message "file too big" on the phone. Looks like it's a no-go for nonstop full length movies. For me watching movies on cellphones is not a big thing, as I'm more for camera quality and good-enough mp3 playback.

This phone looks very cool. I was about to go with the S700i too but I still prefer clamshells. Finally, we get a phone that's practically from NTT DoCoMo's lineup! If only we got more colors like their version though, I'd love that white one here, http://www.mitsubishielectric.co.jp...tyle/index.html or http://506i.nttdocomo.co.jp/d506i/

it lags a little bit compared to the nk6230 i used previously, and it can't learn new words but has a "word model" thingy tt allows you to call up terms not in its dictionary. But it has a dedicated button to toggle T9 so can switch and use multi-tap to type out stuff like "cld" or names like "kelvin" quite fast, so when you get used to it u can sms pretty fast

Posted by: offline5555

I found the real weakness of this phone. THERE IS NO FLASH~! and the d@mn campact light is weak, which means you cant take night shots with this phone.... sigh... i guess is afterall not the best camera phone...

most assist lights on phones are useless anyway. I wouldn't consider it a weakness. The only phone I've seen with an assist light that actually worked is the GX32, the light even brightens like a flash when you take the pic

OOPS!

just learnt tt the m900 can actually add words to the T9 dictionary. Once you switch to multi-tap and key in the new word it'd be automatically stored...

the stupid tel co sales person told be it cldn't be done, and I only found out today

I'd say it is a weakness considering S710a's Flash is so much more powerful - flash distance = 5m

the assist light on the s700 doesnt beat the gx32 in my opinion

Ok latest news is that Mitsu is working on M900 software upgrades to fix some bugs and to increase the MP3 filesize limit from 5mb to 8mb.

Posted by: braindead5400

hmmm...Maybe I should hold off buying one then

I found out about this phone recently and have decided that I have to have it. But I'm living in Ireland and even though I know the phone is tri-band so will work there, I was just wondering if I will have any problems using it in europe. A friend of mine told me that to make everything work properly on the phone it would need to be flashed to a uk/Ireland firmware. Not sure if this is true so thought I'd ask here.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Posted by: nextbyte

Read somewhere on the net that this should be released on Docomo's european partner networks (kpn nl, base be, bouygues fr, wind it, ..).

The european model version of the M900 is M430i.

Posted by: heyfattony

Im not a big fan of the blue cover on the m430i. What are the differences between the m900 and the m430i? I'd prefer to get the m900 unless there's a reason I should wait for the european one.

Posted by: nextbyte

Here's a website for details on the M430i:

Hope this helps.

I still don't know if I want to buy this phone. It didn't seem that bad when it was $550, now its near $600 on ebay. Its either the m900, the sharp tm200 or the samsung d500. Both the sharp and the samung are looking very good as far as price and features. (the tm200 is more than the m900 but it has more features)

I'm leaning towards the D500 cause it looks sooo nice.

Unless the price of the M900 drops in the next week, I think I'm going to invest in a D500

the thing about the 902 is that you will pay for a phone that you cant use to its full potential here in NA

Posted by: bronco

the only fucntion you cant use on the 902 is 3g..but just like people are buying the 6630 for its functions the 902 can be bought on consideration of its functions as well. id give my left nut for the 902

for me thd added price and bulk for the 3g makes the phone not worth it, but that may change if i ever see the phone in person

i don't care about the 3g. The reason for me thinking about 902 is because of its funcionality.

Posted by: braindead5400

I can understand that. I really wish I could see the phone in person. Then I may actually consider it.

i had a chance to play with the Mitsubishi 430 thats the european version of this m900 i think (2 megapixel phone) i have also the sharp 902 all i can say the SHARP 902 must have a 3 mega pixel camera if the mitsubishi has a 2 mega pixel.also the video taken from the mitsubishi SUCK......and not to mention no bluetooth at all,the photos are as good as the nokia 6630 (1.3 megapixel) here is a comparison with sharp and nokia photos http://docs.pathfinder.gr/verify_ad...view%2Fjohnny74

The mitsu technically has a 1.3 mp cam. other than the cam, how do you like the 902?

If you are going to use the phone for mp3's and videos, then yes. If you are only gonna use it for pics, then you can get a smaller, cheaper card.

Yea you can use the reader with the adapter and that is the easiest way. You can also use the phones email client to email the pictures to yourself

Posted by: ajamils

pics from this phone are simply amazing.

Posted by: h412121501V

is the m900 camera suppose to crash alot?? i'm using that 32mb minisd card now.. i probably didn't even use up 10 mb yet.. so when i take a picture, i press ok to save.. its saving.. saving .. then bam crashes to the main page.. i know it didn't save because its not in my mem card or give me a confirmation that it saved.. i can however take pictures after i delt some pictures or lower the quality.. but i haven't used 10 mb yet of 32mb.. why is it doing this??

This problem has got nothing to do with the card. Its a software issue which can fixed by getting the latest firmware.

mine doesn't do that, thankfully

Do you think its worth the price ??

I believe that u had SHarp Gx32 and S700 too in the past...rite ? If so, how does it compare to both phones ?

Posted by: h412121501V

ajamils, i tried looking for the firmware.. where do i go get the firmware, and how do i transfer onto my phone without a sd card/writer, or a data cable?? i should of got mine from x1397 too.. those **** singpores people gave me outdated version.. but i only paid 500 dollars ^^..

Posted by: braindead5400

if you can get a hold of the firmware as well as a program to flash it, then you need a data cable. Otherwise, you have to take it to a service center.

As far as the phone being worth the price, i'm not sure yet. When I first got the phone, my initial reaction was "I won't have this for long"

After using it a little, its slowly proving itself. Rf seems to be great. Call quality is also decent. Both the screens are nice. The screen on the gx32 is nicer. Some people say the screen on the s700i is also nicer, but its a close call. It may be around the same or fit in just below the s700i.

The camera is great. I like it better than the camera on the S700i. With the sony, you have to work pretty hard to get really nice pics, especially when it comes to holding the phone steady. The m900 snaps pics quick. The only thing you need for a great picture, is plenty of light. At full size, the pics are comparable, but when you resize them to a more usable size, I like the m900 better. I still LOVE the camera on the gx32. Looking through my folder of pics I took with the sharp, the full size pics are great. You don't need to resize the pics from the gx32 to get awesome quality (for a phone).

My biggest gripe about the m900 is the quality of the loudspeaker. The mp3 tones sound really tinny and they aren't as loud as the polyphonic tones. This was also a problem for me with the gx32 and s700i. The only way to get decent volume out of the sony was to set it on a flat table so the sound could resonate.

There is one really really dumb thing about the m900. It has a beautiful external screen. Its big and clear. Unfortunately, its not used to its full potential. The only thing you can do from that screen is control the camera. When the mp3 player is running, it only says "playing". You can't see any song info and you can't change the track. With a 128x160 pixel screen, I'd like to be able to read sms messages and stuff. It just seems silly to have such a nice screen and not use it to its full potential.

Did I mention the phone is big? Its bigger than I ever thought it would be but I'm getting used to it.

Lets see, what else.... I really prefer the UI of the GX32 over the M900. I like the m900 better than the sony because its faster. One thing I hate is that the center button launches the camera, not the menu. Its going to take some getting used to. Also, the wap browser isn't the best. I can't access certain pages (tzones and hofo being two of them) and I can't get 2.0 working.

I can't think of anything else to compare, so just ask if you want anymore info

EDIT: I forgot to mention one thing the phone does use the external screen for. You can play back videos on it, which is actually a really cool feature. Its just too bad the phone doesn't support WB amr so the videos really sound terrible

Posted by: ajamils

thanks for such a detailed reply

Posted by: braindead5400

X1387 has lowered the price again. Kinda sucks since I just got my phone on monday

Posted by: h412121501V

thanks braindead for that reply on firmware.. i really starting to regret about getting the phone too.. it is really huge huge, and the vibrartion of the phone sucks.. the speakers and the videos also sucks.. my camera can't even take pictures anymore due to firmware glitches..

i checked my firmware , by Press * and do not release..then continue to press 5807
Press # to exit from firmware screen properly.. froze my phone..

1) "Quality" Set to "Super fine"

2)"Sharpness" set to "Sharp"

3)"Photo mode" depends on whether u are shooting "Outdoor", "Indoor", etc

4)"White Balance", this one you have to try out..Me still testing....

5) Steady hands

6) when u take a pic with the m900, do not move after pressiing the button until the screen prompts u to save the pic, coz there's a delay from the time u press and the time the lens opens.

There are still somemore settings..just try taking with different settings and u will get the hang out it

New firmware IS OUT!! Got to go down to Mit Sg to flash...takes abt 15 mins . Please backup all ur data in ur M900 b4 u bring down for firmware upgrade. If not Mit service centre can help u on the spot too. Pls remember to bring ur warranty card along too.

new firmware
version : 93A86010
date:17/1/05

3 major changes as wat the lady told me is : (Thanks to blancMX)

1) mp3 limit set to 8mb
2)no more phone lock issue
3)no more system overflow when using speed dial for voice mail

This info came from forums.hardwarezone.com

Posted by: braindead5400

I leave my sharpness at normal, I also don't experience shutter lag. I don't have to hold my phone as steady as I did with my s700i. I also leave white balance on auto, it seems to do a good job by itself.

Also, the firmware thing worked fine with my phone, no freezing

Posted by: h412121501V

braindead.. did you use a data cable to get the new firmware or went to some place?? i emailed mitsubishi and they told me to goto a misub SG place in singapore.. i live in NY dangit.. any help??

Posted by: braindead5400

I didn't get new firmware. When comparing it to the firmware people list on the site, mine is completely different. Mine is 93AH4011

Posted by: braindead5400

also, what did your box look like when you got your phone?

Posted by: Mr. DUNGA

I am waiting patiently to purchase this phone in the Base shops in Belgium, so yes its the M430i and I'm an advanced I Mode user...(Theres nothing like Japanese Technology)

I like just about everything about the phone, but none of you mentioned the build quality. Can you describe or state if its good or low quality? Mitsubishi phones don't have a good reputation when it comes to that.

Posted by: h412121501V

braindead, my box looked exactly like the one b2global sells. mine had a singtel sticker on it, i had to remove, and it was sealed from plastic wrap and a plastic seal.

Posted by: h412121501V

btw braindead, which one is firmware. they give me 4 numbers soft, code, fsm, perso?

Posted by: wengus

Hi,

Finally joined the M900 family last week. I did a crap load of research into before I made my purchase and I must say, I'm still not too sure about it.

To answer your question h412121501V, hold * and press 5806 to bring up the firmware, and # to exit.

Mine says 93AC4010, dated 22/10/2004 which means it hasn't been upgraded

The previous phone I had was an Ericsson T68, not the "i" version, the original old skool, final Ericsson phone. Although old, I am missing many of the features on it such as status, which tells you battery life, alarms if they've been set and of course date and time. Other things like the "c" or "cancel" button can delete things, on the M900 you need to go into the options before doing so.

The camera is great. Braindead is right about saying the external screen is underused. But when changing photo options its a pain to use, too tiny with too many options to scroll. It's a **** shame that the camera can't rotate because you can really see the quality of your photo when using the big screen. The other camera phones like S700 or D500 use the big screen to take shots, not in this case though. What a waste.

Hmmm... thinking about this post, there's not much structure to it. I'm just venting my frustrastions. Maybe my expectations were a little high because afterall, I'd been using my T68 for 3 years. I only decided to change because, a) the yes key paint is wearing off, b) the joystick is getting stuck and c) firmware was still slow (i never upgraded )

click here for an extensive list of info about the M900

that link goes to another forum based in singapore. it's got over 500 posts, but it's the first post you'll be interested in.

I think I'm gonna go to the shop and compare the D500 to the M900, feature for feature. This phone has yet to prove itself!!!

oh, hot swappable miniSD is wicked. makes up for the lack of bluetooth, although I've never used bluetooth.....

Posted by: h412121501V

you must be doing *5807, *5806 doesn't give you all the different numbers. I brought up the box question because I've seen boxes that have a photo or something on the back, the box I recieved had a picture of the phone on each side and nothing else.

Box from ebay seller x1387

My box

Posted by: h412121501V

braindead, mine is the one that x1397 advertises.. the one with two japanese people.. 1 guy and 1 girl on it.. did your come with Singtel sticker on it?? i think your is directly from factory, while mine came from singtel.

Posted by: h412121501V

hmm my firmware version seems to be 93a84020.. date 22/10/2004

Posted by: braindead5400

The only sticker on mine was the seal to the box and it didn't have singtel on it

Posted by: h412121501V

this is bugging me.. whats the thing with the flower and the mountain on top of m900 for.. i thought it was for camera uses.. doesnt do anything for me..

Posted by: braindead5400

its the macro mode button. Mountain for regular and flower for really close up shots. When you have it on flower and try to take a picture of something that isn't close, everything should look a bit outta foucs. If it doesn't then something is wrong

Posted by: h412121501V

hmm yeah, your right.. thanks i never noticed that before..

Posted by: heyfattony

I just have a quick off topic question for anyone who can help me. I just got my M900 off mobilefly a few days ago and I love it. I've set up my wap settings and have been trying to download some games. But every time I try to get some i get a "Jar Size Mismatch" error. I even get it off http://mitsubishi.moffy.com which has games especially for the M900. Am i doing something wrong or am I just not able to download off the net at all?

Thanks for your help.

Posted by: heyfattony

Sorry, I'd done a search but somehow managed to miss the post discussing this. Searched again there and found it. Its all working now for me. Sorry for the pointless posts.

Posted by: LiluMultipass

don't you know how to download new firmware to M900? and where could I find it? thanx in advance. 5mb of mp3 are poisoning my life. i need 8 at least. i'm from moscow, russia. and there's no service centre of mitsubishi here cuz there's no any mitsubishi phone certified in russia.

Posted by: braindead5400

I dunno if you can update the firmware yourself

the fifth element is a great movie by the way

Posted by: LiluMultipass

pls advise what i should do. and pls tell me what u've done to upgrade firmware. yr help and concern will be very much appreciated. by the way, where are u from?
and let the force be with u, jedi knight!

Posted by: braindead5400

I live in Chicago in the US, basically you have two choices, fly to someplace like Singapore and get your phone flashed, or buy a new phone (you could also keep the mitsu and deal with the limit)

Posted by: LiluMultipass

My friends told me that if I had firmware itself, they would find the way to download it to the phone. U simply do not know what russian hackers are capable of. Could U pls tell me where I could find it? Sorry for my english.
