noob question: which quality is safe for vx6000

hi everyone i have a question about ring tones
i know they can hold a good amount of ringtones
but i heard that if u have at a certin birate the fone can get damaged(speaker get fried or something)
please tell me if this is true
and if it is tru what is a safe settin i should encode everything at?
