i really need help transfering ringtones to my 7000

ok...its like this...i ordered a cable for my phone through rpiwireless and i think they screwed me...but besides the point i got my 6000 cable to fit in my phone and was wondering how do i get it to work? when i use bitpim i get errors out the a-hole...and when i try to set up the QPST with com4...its says its busy...what do i need to do? please help before i go crazy. thanks abunch....

the cable most definately works. i just removed the verizon banner. but i tried starting from scratch for the ringtones. and bitpim still gives me tons of errors and the COM4 says its still busy for QSPT.
