Panasonic TX210 battery lifetime ?

Anyone having any problems with the standard battery lifetime in the Panasonic TX210 phone ? We picked one up last week & it's lasting an average of <2 days on digital standby when the specs say up to 8 days. This is somewhat distressing to say the least. We're also experiencing some weirdness with the call timer duration indicating 8 hours of call time on a brand new phone. Perhaps this is a Radio Shack screwup.

Comments appreciated,

Chris

The promax is packaged with the standard, 660MaH battery. You'll be lucky if you can get a few days on standby if you are a moderate user. This issue has been pretty much universal for people who've been experiencing lousy standby/talktime. You'll need the extended battery to get better talk/standby times.

As for the lifetimer, if the lifetimer was not at ZERO when you opened it up, perhaps they sold you a refurb. If you desire, just go back and get it swapped for another one.

Go to the following resource on HowardChui.com if you haven't already:

http://www.howardchui.com/phoneguid...lebatteries.htm

It has good information on how different battery technology works, as well as how to maintain a battery for optimum performance.

One thing to note is that you should condition a new battery with 2 to3 full charge cycles when you first get it. Also until this is complete you may not achieve the maximum battery life.
