I was playing around with ICQ yesterday and i notices that it has an option to send sms messages to cells. So I plugged in my number and it gave me a message saying it was either an invalid number or my service didn't support the feature. Since I know my own phone number, I checked out the users manual for the 5150 and it says you can send a SMS by either:
">Email
>Through the sprint PCS website
>Using a messaging software"

OK
email: it works
spcs website: it works
messaging software: ICQ doesn't work, I tried yahoo... NOPE, I even broke down and filled out that damn .NET thing from microsoft and tried from there...to no avail...and now I am registered with microsoft YUK.

SO the SPCS website mentions nothing of using messaging software to send SMS (or Wireless Web Shortmail as SPCS calls it)

Can anyone fill me in?
Thanks
Greg
