Originally posted by sidneylopsides The housing I bought came with none of those, that was from chinastore as far as i remember. I'm going to clean off the glue they use and restick mine, not sure what to use yet tho. I haven't pulled the innards out yet, but they should pull out pretty easily. The aerial will be a bit more difficult, all the other parts like speaker and vibrator motor should just pull out, they usually connect with sprung connectors. I'll check mine out tomorrow and post some pics.

Originally posted by evapor8 OK. I decided to change the cover to get rid of the Orange branding on my K700i. When I'd put it all back together again I realised I forgot to re-attach the 4 screws (!!!) and the volume buttons weren't working. So, I've opened it up again and inside the back part of the phone you will see that there are two little orange-brown strips inside that are kinda L-shaped. They don't attach to anything but the one attached to the volume buttons gets in the way when you put the cover back on and I can't work out where it should be lying. You can see the strip I'm talking about in the photo above. Where should this be? Should it be lying onto a connection that makes the volume thing work? Chris |

Originally posted by skylowlow I purchased a cover for my Nokia 6230 and it was OEM. Quick shipping, well packaged. Cannot tell about the K700i though but my experience with that seller was pleasant. |

. My doubt about this guide, is, Why do i need the screw driver?, if you, sidneylopsides, already dismounted the front cover, and as I see it, may be im wrong, the only thing left to do is mount the new faceplate. Then if I want to change the back k700 cover, the camera side, could it just be umounted just like the front plate?, or do I need the t6 screw driver to uncover all my phone?, please help with this....

i bought it only 6 months ago! so i figured i need to poke a toothpick through the opening of housing to get some dust out..but still its not working right, what can u guys suggest?
And since I don't have torx screwdrivers at hand I can't even get under it to clean up the mess. I hope it will evaporate but still might leave a residue - so go easy with sprays guys.

Obviously I wasn't careful enough.

I got mine just over a year ago, and the joystick just started playing up. Joined to say thanks to all the OP and contributors for saving me a few squid. Joystick back to normal now after a cleanup and a dab of contact grease
