Get it Now - Mobile IM

Just checked out some of the What's New on Get it Now, and found Mobile IM...it includes Yahoo, AIM, and MSN....and it was free. So I downloaded it, and I'm ready to go. I tried to logon using my usual login name which is a name and numbers. One of the numbers is the numeral 1. There is no way I can get the 8600 to type the 1. It will do a 2 and all the others, but no 1. I get the period, dash and apostrophe, but no 1. Is something broken? Oh...the 1 works when dialing numbers with a 1 though. I tried l (small L) and I (capital i) but no luck.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I looked for AIM in Get It Now and it was not in there.. What is the name of the program? or where did they put it? The right softkey is the button in the upper right hand corner of your cell phone for the 8900.

I went to 'Get it Now.' Then I clicked on 'What's New.' It was the first thing there. It was called Mobile IM, and it encompassed all three programs, MSN, Yahoo, and AIM.

I'll have to check out a pic of the 8900 and see if it's like my 8600.

I have looked for it on Get It Now and I still am unable to get it... Does anybody know of a different way to get AOL IM on your CDM-8900?

my parents have that prog 2 but with an lg modle. i know virizon has it but we are yet to get it for the 8900. he may be able to get it because he has 8600.

I deleted the Mobile IM, went to Get it Now, What's New, and it was there again to download. But I haven't been able to connect with it. Then again, I still can't get the 1 in my login name.

I think your right mattduskater. They do have it for the LG but they don't have one for the 8900

Verizon needs to get going on that project.

Looks like I can't use it either with the 8600. Just the LGs..

I'm sure you could use it if you just change the input type from T9Word to ABC or NUM
