Siemens usually posts firmware updates frequently, when it comes down to the U.S. models however it takes a while so we'll just have to wait. |

I've a CF62T locked to the T-Mobile USA network. In order to remove the T-Mobile branding I was told to flash a different FW version to it, however the update was "denied" by the phone using WINSWUP. If I get an unlock code and unlock my phone will I be able to remove the branding then with WINSWUP? I'd rather not mess with testpoints. |
|
Only testpoint, then fullflash downgrade with freia (for example),then correct swup with your lang. And ffs if you wish It's only way to unbranding. |

I've succesfully cut the testpoint, but when I tried downgrading with WINSWUP it said no bootcore present. I presume I should get a CF62 fullflash, flash it to the phone and then downgrade the SW (unlocking then with sw11)? Would I be able to use V_KLay for this or should Freia be used? |
| You can use freia, set phone as m55,after flashing- repair imei, then swup. |
