SL56 IrDa Modem question

Im trying to dial in to an isp through my phone. I have a laptop with an ir port and a sl56. I got the two to talk to each other but when i go into windows and try to dial out it gives me errors. What kind of settings should i have for the phone and the dial up connection (ie - baud rate, etc) Thanks for the help/

Your SL56 is through AWS correct? AWS does not support CSD (circuit switched data) so you can't use the bult-in modem to dial out to an ISP. The only way to connect is using GPRS, that's AWS' GPRS.

that sucks, one more reason to hate att, do you know if any service providers support the protocol? thanks for the reply
