Can anybody tell me where I can download the the software from Audiovox for the 8900 camera phone?

as far as I know Audiovox doesn't actually have software. there are drivers so you can use it as a modem. if you have the usb cable try looking on the other forums here and getting the Curitel driver and downloading BitPim. Following the instructions in Tutorials for 8900 works well.

I thought that if you bought the cable from Audiovox it came with a cd with software that allowed you to transfer data and pictures to and from your phone and use the phone as a modem. I haven't been able to get Bitpim to work anyway.

I think the software that carriers make are as official as your gonna get. I know verizon offers the mobile office software for with the 8900 kit, which is available on these forums, but other than that i'm not sure.

I've searched forum for the Verizon 'mobile office software' and can't find it anywhere. can someone post a link, or tell me what to search for. Thank you.

As far as drivers, all official Audiovox stuff comes with the curitel drivers that are freely available around the forums. As far as I know, Audiovox only distributes software that will download pictures off of the phone (I got this for $15 from my local phone shop). It is made by Hyundai & Curitel. There is a very similar piece of software that comes with the $4 ebay cable. It syncronizes the address book (supposedly) with outlook, but it doesn't work with Outlook 2004.
