PC Sync causes strange ringtone

I'm on my 3rd 8900 now (I had strange headaches from the previous 2 phones, but that's another story), and I finally decided to try using PC Sync software to backup my phonebook instead of manually typing each entry on the phone.

Well, it worked, with multiple numbers and everything (other users have had problems with this).

One strange thing happened to mine, though. The default ringtone for each contact was changed to a crazy shrill ringtone, even though the entry said "default". My actual "default" ringer (the one that plays when someone calls who's not in my contact list) is set to one of the conventional ringers (#3, I think), and it plays fine when an someone at an unknown number calls the phone. But, if one of my contacts calls, I get the wierd ringtone. I can't even find the annoying ringtone in my phone.

Has anyone else had this problem? In order to resolve the problem, I had to manually go into each entry through the phone, change the "default" ringer for each contact to another ringtone, save the contact, and then go back to the same contact and change it back to "default". What a pain.

Other than that, PCSync worked pretty well.
