After combing through numerous posts for the past few hours, and trying anything possible that I could think of, I have come to the conclusion that I am in need of assistance with the Audiovox 8900. I received my cable in the mail today (i got it off of ebay because no stores around here sold them) and no matter what I try to do my phone just keeps restarting. I have ALL of the programs that have been mentioned on this site (including Brewsky and Bitpim) and my provider is Telus, I cannot for the life of me figure out what to do or what is being done improperly.
If someone could reply to this or message me right away I would be extremely appreciative.

please someone help!

****EDIT****
I was able to FINALLY connect to BitPim, ONCE, and i was able to put a file onto my phone, however, the phone does not play it properly, I can't delete it, and now my phone just keeps ringing with the loud and annoying "alarm" sound.

The "loud annoying alarm sound" usually means that the record you've added to the index file is incorrect. I suggest reverting to your old index.

Thank you,
I reverted back to the original file but am having some major issues with the phone now, it still works though so I guess im doing a bit better than some of the other people on here have done. However, the issue I am now having is that the ringtones I have downloaded from the Telus site wont work at all. When I run Bitpim it shows the files in there, but not in the download_snd.txt at all (because I reverted to the original because the one I had didn't even display them) and it doesn't show them on the phone. It also doesn't show them at all in Brewsky. I am not quite sure where to go from here, I was considering consulting a technician about it, seeing as how I dont have any major issues that are affecting my phone usage right now, I just cant seem to get ringtones, and I am kind of ticked because I paid for the ones off the Telus site and they wont work either. If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it. But thank you for responding, i appreciate that.
