There is no working sync software for the 4900 yet SNAPSYNC doesnt support the 4900. The only software for the 4900 is the SNAPMEDIA for 29.99 from Futuredial.

doesnt the multi media software do this?? I also have the scp 600 and use multi media master. they told me the 4900 will work the same way. my cable is on its way.

I dont think it does. SANYO has had issues with this software and the 4900. If you go to the accesories for the 4900 the multimedia master software is not there just the sync cable. But the software is there for the 5150, etc.

They may have a patch for this I dont know.

Try downloading the 5150 software and hacking it. I did this with the 5000 software before the 5150 software was out (to get it to work with my 5150). You may be able to get the Multimedia Master software to work with the 4900.

Multimedia Master only supports COM ports 1 through 8, It will not work with a USB cable as of yet. The 4900 only has a USB cable option and no Serial cable.

what about a serial to usb cable?????

Hmmmm...I'll find out if this is so. I'm sure with a little hacking, you could probably get the software to go. I haven't heard anything specifically from SANYO that the software for the 6000 is compatible with the 4900. I'll get in touch with my contact at SANYO and let you guys know ASAP. As for the serial to USB, a simple adaptor can be purchased for around $20 at any local Fry's Electronics so that should make it a little easier. The new data kits have USB connections. We should be getting those in-store any day now. This sure has my interest peaked. I wonder...

I got a email about the contact sync, there will be a update for the 4900 in about a week. Drivers will be on there web site.
