I recently just got the N370, and when I receive a text message... it doesn't tell me anywhere on the text message who it's from! I can reply, and then find out that way... but that's kinda annoying. Is there a way to view the person or number who just text messaged you?!

the person it is from has to set it up on their phone, because the outgoing information is shown...tell them to check their settings because SMS's from them aren't showing their info.

Another question... how come when I'm currently in a call, and I receive another caller on the other line who's phone number is programmed in my phone, it doesn't show their name? Instead, it just shows the phone number of the party calling in. This is hard for me, since I don't remember all the phone numbers in my directory! Is there a way to fix this?

you must have the area code and number together...if it isn't a perfect match, the phone won't recognize it, almost all phones are like that.

Well, I just tried it now using my home phone.
I was in a call using my N370... then I called my phone with the home phone, and all it shows is the NUMBER, exactly how I have it stored in the phonebook. How come it doesn't say HOME (that's how I saved it in my directory)? All the other numbers I have stored that call me during a call don't show their names either... again, it just shows their number. Has anyone else experienced this problem with their N370?

just to make sure we are both on the same page here.

you must program the number as 416-555-1234 (your home number) and label it "Home". then call your phone and it should come up:

Home
416-555-1234

confirm with me that this is how you have it stored and set up.

Yes, IT DOES show up! But that's when the cell isn't being used. What I'm talking about is when you're USING THE PHONE, and another call comes in that's in your phonebook, it doesn't show HOME... it just shows the PHONE NUMBER!

Go try it! You'll see what I mean! Make a call to your friend or whoever using your N370, then use your home phone (make sure it's stored), then call your cell phone during your conversation with your friend, and all it will show on the screen is the PHONE NUMBER. I want to know how/why it does this? My old Nokia will show the person's name as long as it's stored in the phone. Do you get what I'm saying now....?!?!
