T610 mic not working after changing housing - please help

I changed the housing of my t610 and the mic stopped working. I cleaned it, installed it both ways - cleaned the connectors - it's screwed together tight and the handsfree mic works when plugged in, just not the built in mic. Any suggestings on how to fix this problem?

I took it apart and back together and now when i talk i can hear myself with a short delay from the t610 earpiece but not on the phone I am calling. Did i get something backwards?

I had this problem just yesterday, but it turned out I had forgotten to take it out of the original housing.

The cheap aftermarket housing had the mic well too deep so it wouldn't make a connection with the circuit board. Maybe the "OEM" T630 housing i just ordered will work better.
