im a noob with this stuff, and im trying to figure out how you all get the files from a computer to a phone with no data cable... if i were to just send the file from my pc in a MMS to my phone? i tried sending an email to myself and checking it over my phone.... that didnt work.. it didnt show the attatchments

i have a nokia 6800... any help would be great

(nowmms has a program but you have to be pretty well informed in the subject to use it, and i dont think i set it up properly)

What I do is upload my wallpaper to an ftp account and then type in the exact link in my WAP browser on my Nokia 3200. From what i'm reading you're having difficulties and I doubt you'd be able to do that, so if you like, send me the files via my email address (which you can obtain via PM

) and i'll upload your files. All you'd have to do is type in the exact address in your WAP browser on your phone.

im using TMo and they have restricted wap, i can only go to their "t zones"

which is lame as hell.

buy a data cable, and use MobiMB to transfer the files to your phone

From my mac i use bluetooth. Connects to my 6230 using a program called 'phone director'.

Generally, I use BT for transferring wallpapers from and to the PC and my 6600. However, I use the cable when using the ngage.

pc to web....the wap to phone.

the easiest way i know of....cables suck, BT is knida slow....wap is the fastest.

WAP isn't faster than anything, in fact it blows. Bluetooth is fast and efficient, and I would imagine a cord would be even more so. Get with the times man

^ dude, i can sign on to any site, pick what to d/l and d/l quicker than your cable to hook up, open the program and select what to send and then send.

BT is expensive but not fully realible yet. cable is #2 wap is #1

i dont have WAP so oem nokia cable does the trick for me. it's entertaining plus the idea of having your phone hooked up to your pc is preety cool for a no0bie like myself.

^agreed.....but the whole cable and software and drivers thing is too old for me...its like another device that i have to hook up to the computer and then to the network...its kinda of a pain to me.

I use BT most of the time, when I'm not at home with my BT dongle, I use WAP over EDGE, that's fast!
