Did they change company names and become Kyocera or LG? I know on my LG TM-250 phone there's a sticker on the back that says Qualcomm 3G CDMA.

Most CDMA phones have a qualcomm sticker because they use their chipset. Qualcomm no longer makes phones though, kyocera bought their handset division
