I have been lurking and reading for several months, and I have seen over and over again requests for drivers and connection software. I have compiled a s-load of stuff, and have found a good set of drivers, software and good links that can get ya the whole 14.4 connection that we all love and charish, get Bitpim to work (VX6000 anyway), and a decent connection package.

you can get the modem driver for many of the phones discussed here, in particular the VX6000.

I will host the USB drivers for a FEW DAYS that actually work with Bitpim, and the modem software that is available above. If the forum works right, others will host 'em too, so I do not get a nasty gram from my ISP. There is NOTHING illegal here...but I do have a bandwidth limit.

What have we accomplished?

1.) Drivers for the serial (usb -2- serial) port that work with bitpim.

2.) Modem drivers that work for the VX6000 (and many more phones)

3.) Connectivity software for the VX6000 (and many more phones) that can be used to connect to the internet.

I am in no way an expert so please point any questions at them. I just wanted to add my .02 and try to help out where I can.

just thoguht I'd post something so you don't get upset that views are 201 and no replies,
I saw you thread and it will be very helpful for people who haven't been
able to locate drivers but I think most of the people in this forum
have already figured out drivers and connections and such, thus
this threads provides no new info for them, hense there were no responses.

It's trully a great post, there is no doubt in that, I am just saying that
the larger public in this forum might have this figured out by now so they won't post any replies.

Call me an idiot but which of those drivers should I download. I clicked on the link and then there is a list of around 6 different ones. I am simply looking for the ability to connect my phone to my PC in order to personalize my phone with pics and ringtones. I don't think I am looking to use my phone as a modem but honestly I don't know what the features are of that ability, Why do people use that? How do I use each function? And which driver is necessary for each? Thank you so much for this post. Although I may have many questions, you have by far surpassed any other info I have been able to find. You can post a reply or email me at kahnesgirl09@yahoo.com and please dumb it down as much as possible just in case so that I wont have any follow up questions. Thanks again!
