8900 on US Cellular - help getting custom stuff

Ok I've read alot of different threads on here. I'm a bit confused though. I'm using the Audiovox 8900 on the US Cellular network. They don't have internet access available in my area, but are getting it in a month or so. Even if I wanted to do this the "right way" I guess you could call it, I can't because I can't connect to them to download anything. So I have the phone, and I bought the USB cable that comes with the Official Picture Downloader package. Using this... can I use BitPim or similar program to connect to my phone and upload/download to my phone? I've heard alot of the RadioShack cables and what not... and different drivers. Thats all of what I have specifically though and would like to know if anyone else has had success using BitPim/etc with the same setup . or any tips and such would be great!

Set up BitPim. PM me when you have it working and I will help you with what I have learned. I have a 8900 with USCC

Hey. As far as communcating with the phone, I use the Picture Downloader software and USB cable I bought directly from USCellular (at the same time as I bought the phone). It comes with picture download software, USB drivers for the cable/phone, and even recognizes the port that your phone is hooked to (which helps alot when using BitPim) Since it works like a charm for me... I highly suggest this cable and software, and as I stated before, you should be able to go to your nearest USC store and buy it, or at least order one from them. I assume you know how to get everything onto the phone, but if not, I can send you an email detailing the process (thanks to the guy up top) and everything that I've learned while messing with my 8900.

Is there anyway you can send me a copy of that software?
