I really don't think it's a good idea. The SL55 is tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 and the SL56 is only dual band GSM 850/1900. The hardware inside I would think is different and changing the fw wouln't make a difference at all. If you are willing to take the risk though on your own and do it I'd like to know what it will come out.

i tried the sl55 update firmware it says wrong sw version =0( anyone know how i can upload and download ringtones to it via pc?
