saw X700 release date in OCT

Finally got to know that it will be release in singpore in OCT, It has been a long wait.....

just wondering , has it been release in other countries yet?

Official Release date in Greece... Early-mid October...

Vodafone shops here are already announcing it... with the code name Panasonic X701.

Of course it will also be available as unbranded, thank God...

I was talking with some of the guys today and they said that there is not a planned release of an unbranded x701, ever! X700 unbranded after Xmas. Now, there may be an unSimLocked x701 but all X701s are branded and have Vodafone live.

Forgive me I was wrong as far as it concerns the Month! Here in Greece the official Vodafone website has a release date of mid November for Panasonic X701. Which will be a Vodafone branded ONLY phone. Here it is: http://www.vodafone-shop.gr/eshop/e...tureMobilePhone and it sais 16th November 2004.

The unbranded version will be of course X700 and it will be available first here in Greece by the European Dept. That's all my info...

Where did u got the info?

Early, mid or late Oct in SG? and how much?

today I was at my friends store..he is selling all kind of electronic goddies.....and he told me that price of x70 is slightly reduced
because next week the x700 is coming on shells..I could not belive so at once I have let some money to be sure that first phone come to me......he dont realize that i know every news about x700 that comes out on net.....so I wonder is he kidding me or what......i hope that I will have this phone next week )



I am from Croatia.......the x70 and before gd87 nedded much time to get to our store shells.......so for him is better that he told me right

as for price and release date, the owner says he could not give me the exact numbers so...guess a few more weeks of wait.

One thing I know for sure is that Greece/Croatia/Chech Republic will be among the first countries to get it...

wow that is great news....today i was again at my friend store and ask him where did he heard about x700...he said that he get new catalogs and news from general dealer of panasonic for croatia...but they are always seling unbranded phones...

it is logical that greece croatia czech republic....maybe gets shipment of x700 when all pana phone in cro it is assembled i czech rep....mine x70 too

Panasonic X-700 already in stores in Czech Republic. His price is 15990 CZK or 631 USD.

Try and buy one, getting shipping immediately. There are no shipping X700s yet. They are not built in the Czech republic, only assembled there. They boards are built in China. X700 has not yet shipped! Plans are still for 2-3rd week of October.
Need more proof? Try and find any of the required certifications that a mobile requires. Such as the SAR data for either the US or Europe. Not there! Bluetooth logo certified. Not there! FCC ID. Not There! The list goes on. This mobile is NOT released yet.
We will need to be patient for a few more weeks. This always happens in the days leading up to the release, stores try to scoop each other to make the sales up front!

It'll be good to know how much it would cost in UK.I am eager to get my hands on the piece of marvel. So far there is no news about the release of the phone in the UK.

I have heard conflicting news about the UK. I would not expect to see X700 in the UK until closer to Christmas. But this is just a guess!

The phone rocks... We knew it 5 months ago... we are certain now once again...

It's really going to kick ××× even if it is not offering something really impressive regarding the other phones...

lost_rebel is right.

the pana guys at the European headquarter would be happy (more than that) if the phone will be available before christmas - all the betas have massive temperature problems....phone will hang/lock after about 60min and can only be reused after a reset

The mobile is a lot more stable now. The production prototypes are reported to be very good. We are simply waiting on the sales channels to start to fill. Heard the major hold up is in plastic parts procurement for the hinge assembly

be failed big time in mobile market...
the spec of X700 was super! but they are taking too long and
now its not even close to S700 spec or anyphones will be released in 2004... are they giving up or what?

Dont think it will fail on market...who wants panasonic..knows why he wants it....and when x700 comes branded all around the globe....it is gona sell....yes i agree about long time till it hits market.....but the testing of device and make it work without prob..is far more complex than just make housing and fill it with pcb and components.....if this phone show it self stabil and fast in procesing....it will have some advantage to todays smartphones.....so lets wait for new pana hehe

Panasonic X700 is already available in several Asian countries, one of them being Thailand and this is official. Take my word for it...

The only down part is they are sold without warranty, take this news the way you want....
