Looking for A New Cell Phone Service

Was wondering if you all could help. I am going back to a school next semester(University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA), but the service I have is T-Mobile and they do not service to Iowa. I need to find a new cell phone service that is good. Here are my options:

AT&T Wireless, Sprint PCS, NEXTEL, and Verizon.

These are the only services that both service Iowa City and service where my parents live Houston, TX (live in a town called The Woodlands).

Most people at Iowa either had U.S. Celluar or Iowa Wireless other than that they were evenly spread out between the 4 companies. I am looking for a plan for approximentally $35-40. Any advice would help.

Also, since I have to get a new phone what phones would you all recommend that these services have. Thanks

I've been with AT&T for a few years now and I havent had any problems with them except for some poor reception in some areas. But if you want really good reception then go for Verizon.

i would say verizon. they are for me the best overall. in america.

Presuming AT&T in Iowa is GSM, you wouldn't have to get a new phone. Just get T-Mo to unlock your phone, pop the AT&T sim in and you're all set. Then perhaps you wouldn't have to sign a new contract?
