i just got the inno 55 phone, and im having some problems with the reception, and i wanna know if anyone else is having the same problems. i use att service, and as far as i know they use 850/1900. and this phone is a 900/1800/1900. and i get very little reception compared to a phone that att sells. is it because i am only picking up one of the bands? and i also heard that 850 mhz band penetrates indoors better than the 1900 band, is that true too?
please help me clear up this problem...im dying

True that the 55 can only pickup 1900 which would explain your rf issue. Your fix would be getting a 850/1900 phone.

i have the inno 55 with TMO in NYC and this phone has pretty good reception...and to me the best RF phone i had was the NOKIA 3650 and this one is clsoe enough to it....

how could it be...i mean when i take the phone outside i get full reception, but anywhere indoors i get nothing. i think its cause of 2 reasons. 1 because it doesn have 850 mhz, and its only running on one of the bands. 2. i heard 850 mhz penetrates indoors better than the 1900 does. now i dont know if that is true with wall penetration, but thats what i heard. so i am deciding to sell the phone. i dunno. i REALLLY like the phone, but if i can get the reception fixed i would keep it.
you think if i take it to chinatown they can fix teh reception problem somehow?

nope
the inno isnt capable of having 850

getting a firmware upgrade would be your best bet
or just sell the phone and get an 850 mhz phone

The bands the phone picks up is hardware determined; a firmware update would do nothing for you as far as I know. My solution for he lack of 850 support on my 90 is picking up a cheap, backup, used 850 compatible phone off eBay or something for use in areas where I know my 90 has bad reception (essentially, anywhere Cingular works and AT&T doesn't, like an area in New York I frequent).
