The specs on Rogers site says that the T637 is 850/1800/1900

I thought if you flash the T616 to the T637 in order to do the screen swap that you loose the 850 functionality, how is that possible if the T637 also uses 850?

This is what I understand from reading the posts on this forum, is it correct? will I loose 850mhz?

Because you're actually doing a T616 -> T630 conversion. The T637 firmware does not work on a T616.

he can flash the phone to t637 firmware and load in a t637 gdfs file and it should work just fine

As I said, you cannot flash T637 firmware onto a T616, but you can flash T637 GDFS onto a T616 (with T610, T616 or T630 firmware), as per many posts on "the other mobile phone resouce forum (CS)" (which I can't link to on HoFo).
