Do a search on Google for Audacity and download that program. It works great for me... You can edit, add, delete, do special sound effects and best of all... It's freeware!

MP3 ring tones Help
http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...threadid=455561
http://www.mototone.co.uk/Ringtones.pdf
http://snow.prohosting.com/gman1025/v400/mp3.html

Using Audacity (get it from www.downloads.com)

Open Audacity
Click on: File --> Open --> (open mp3 you want to edit/cut)
OR
Drag and drop the mp3 file you want to edit/cut into Audacity

To bring down the Bit Rate of your mp3's

Click on:
File --> Preferences --> File Formats (tab) --> Bit Rate

I use 56 for bit rate... this will lower the quality of your mp3's which is barely/not noticeable with the Vxxx speakers

Just highlight the part that you like... keep it within 25 secs to 30 secs. its up to you...(your phone only rings for up to 30 secs and then goes into your voicemail if you have one)

Once you have the part that you like highlighted
Click on:
File --> Export Selection As MP3 --> (into folder you want to save your ringtones)

File sizes should be around 180KB to 300KB from 20 second to 35 second samples.
To upload mp3 ringtones to your phone you’ll need Mobile Phone Tools.

Tip from NineToez:
Final tip of the night; bass heavy files (like most hip hop songs) can sound distorted on your phone. To take out the bass, select the entire clip, choose 'Hi Pass Filter' under the Effect tab, and use a cutoff freq anywhere from 85 Hz to 300 Hz for best results. Trust me, you wouldn't miss the bass really anyway on these phones. Use the High Pass filter and set it to around 150MHz. That'll kill bass frequencies at 149Mhz and below.

I hope this helps
good luck
peace out
