Please bear with me, I'm a newbie here, but this forum seems like an awesome resource.
I always said that by the time I get a cell phone it should be able to do my laundry. Sadly I've come to really need one and can't wait any longer. I'm a freelance graphic designer and need very good email and data transfer capabilities. I also need to have good reception in Minneapolis, other places not so important. A good camera is also a priority.
All my research so far is pointing to the nokia 7610 and maybe getting a bluetooth keyboard, but the ×××× thing has been "coming soon" for years. I NEED a phone asap absolutely by November 1st. Any suggestions? It is a business necessity, money is no object. Can I buy a 7610 online and use it in the US?

Why dont u go for Sony Ericsson K 700i . i think that is a good mobile and will cover almost all ur necessity which u have mentioned here or else the motorola MPx 200 is also a very good choice. Nokia is also a good choice but when money is not a constraint for u i would advise u to go for Sony Ericsson.

i have heard about the problem of "jogger" in all SE phones, then why should we prefer that phone.

The 7610 is already out, so that might be the choice for you. The phone is not being sold through wireless carriers in the US thats why it says "Coming Soon," but you can still purchase it unlocked from other retailers.
