Looks like MobilePlanet has these in stock for $499 no activation, should be getting mine this pm @ will-call. Was going to get one of them i-Mates, but the VOQ is available here & now, though I am giving up B/T. Oh well....

Please let us know how the device is. I am very interested to see how this unit functions.

After using the A11 for the last week or so, I've found this unit to be quite nice all in all. I believe the major difference between this and other SP out there is the flip out KB, I need to preface that I am NOT very fond of thumb-boards, and I have almost never used the one on my Treo 600 except when I cannot recall the Grafitti stroke - why? because the keys are just too close together, and the last thumb-board I was comfortable in using was off the HP 200LX, so it's been a long time.
The A11 is quite stable, but I also tend to be pro-active when it comes to running tasks. I have yet to get the Voq personal mail to work under IMAP, I suspect it has to do with the lack of port assignment, not entirely a problem since there's always the not-so-efficient built-in INBOX.
One other bug I have come across is that sometimes when an incoming call is announced, the phone would ring once, display the caller ID, then switch to the Missed Call notification, then it would continue to ring as though there's yet another incoming call. While this is happening on the A11, the originating handset would not indicate there's a problem as it continues to ring. This is a potential problem because the call may be routed to voice mail at some point.
Other than that, I also wished SW designed the LED differently - right now it can display solid green (full charge, well actually it's not necessarily fully charge, just that the circuit stops charging), solid red (charging), and blinking green (when the phone is on the cell netwrok, this is displayed when the A11 goes into screen-saver mode).
So what about using it for message notification? As far as accessing the external card, I find it a bit slow for a device with the current processor, may be the data path is not optimized? I don;t have another MS SP to compare to so this is purely subjective. May be I'll swap out the standard SanDisk 512M SD and use my new 1G KingMax to see if there's any improvement.
As one other member had indicated, the phone feels "plasticky", but it is solid, and we really do need a fix for the power button while the unit is in locked mode, I ended up turning off the unit unknowingly while it's in a horizontal belt case, and I also kept pressing the action button (joy stick) very frequently and bringing up x-Bar2 since the joystick is not flush.
All in all, I am satisfied...

What about size factor?
I currently carry a T616 and an iPaq 5555. I've got an iMate SP3 on order, mainly because I want something reasonably small (and the MPX220 is taking forever to be released....imagine that...)
How does the VOQ compare to some other devices, like say the iPaq 63xx, or some other phone/PDA....?

Size Factor
Have the 6315 & IMHO, it's one of the least comforatble devices to hold, the Voq is definitely larger than the T61x (actually very close in dimension to the Nextel/Moto i85s), but with all the unusual curves and edges of the Voq, it's amazingly comfortable in my hand, most people I've shown it to agreed.
I have used a lot of PPC, PE's, Palms, etc. So far the one that's most appealing to me is still the Treo600 in terms of form factor. I've also used the T610 & 2215 combo for awhile, then switched to the i-Mate PPC-PE, found it too big, then the Treo600, switched to the 6315 but don;t want to deal with the B/T issues, now am back to the Treo & Voq.
