I still have the problem of images and ringers (titles) returning to my phone even though I deleted them out. The titles return but the files appear to be empty. I went to Mydocuments/Bitpim/Ringtones or Wallpaper and looked at the "index.idx" file using "Notepad" to open it. There I found a all the stufff thats on my phone including the "bogus" tones/wallpaper. The bogus stuff doesn't show up going thru Bitpim "Get data". I also notice all the bogus tones titles came from "orgin:mms". I've seen Bitpim update this index eveytime I use Bitpim it but for some reason it isn't taking out the bogus titles.
Does anyone know how to edit this index?

i do, get winhex and hexedit the file. i THINK is at winhex.sourceforge.net but could easily be wrong. If its not there search on downloads.com or just a search engine

I have that program (winhex), I used it to remove my verizon banner and to back up my eri. file.
How do I use win hex to edit out the bogus titles?
I guess I would have to get the current file in my phone and edit it and send it back?
Then save a backup of my new edited file?
Where is the info for wallpaper and ringtones stored? In "eri" file?
THANKS!

Thanks to "votetrev" pointing me in the right direction I figured out how and what to edit to finally get rid of those empty titles in my media folder. If anyone needs the details, post for help.
Thanks Votetrev
