What format of ringtones can 8200 use?
My friend has a LG VX6000(I think) and he can simply rename an MP3 file as .midi and upload into the phone, and it will play fine as a ringer.

Is this kind of thing possible with 8200 also?
Thanks

I don't think that's possible.

I beleive the 8200 with only accept midi and qcp files.

If you do a search you should be able to find a convertor which will help you turn your mp3 files into the proper format.

Thank you.
Yeah, I've tried the conversion already, but rarely get 'good' results with QCP. not much you can do with that kind of compression, I suppose.

I use this site. You can take any MP3 file (the higher the bitrate the better it sounds on your phone). Choose the fille from your PC. Set the start & stop you want. Make it about 20 secs. Set your Volume, name your file, enter your Sprint PTN. AAC bitrate, I set it at 128. Not sure what it does. Check bass filter on or off. If you have a pop up blocker , allow this site. Press Convert ! It may take a while depending on your connection. Wait for the pop up box to finish & close itself. Then just press send to phone. Note if you press the preview or download button you might have to start all over. Just send it to your phone & see how it came out. Depending on the file you used you may have to turn the volume up or down & turn the bass filter on or off. Hope this helps!
