I think when I first got my phone it was perfectly horizontal. After forcing the cable in enough times, mine is now zig zagged up and down. Some of the pins look like they've been forced up or down, or to the side. It's not nearly horizontal anymore -- was it this way when it was new?

I got my cable at radio shack, the one made for the vx6000. It's a little tight of a fit, but everything still seems fine and correctly aligned.

Please re-read my topic. I need to know what the data connector on my phone looked like - not where to buy a cable, which brand to use, etc. I have a cable that works fine, I am just wondering if I ruined my connector by running it into the cable at the wrong angle.
