I pre-order the SE P910a since I'm in the US I wanted the one that supported the 850MHz band. So I sent an email to SE customer support people after seeing on the website that it states 900MHz not 850MHz see http://shopwireless.sonyericsson.co...ndset_P910a.asp

Here is the answer I got back from SE

"Dear Valued Sony Ericsson Mobile Customer,

The P910a will only support the 900, 1800 and 1900 bands of GSM network.

Please verify with your cellular provider before purchasing.

So what model supports the 850MHz band?

That SE rep is wrong AND stupid.

P910i = 900/1800/1900MHz
P910a = 850/1800/1900MHz

Confirmed 1000x over. That's just a typo on their website.

No need to worry; you ordered the correct phone...
