Recent Calls problems in 8900

Hey guys
I have the 8900, I use the data cable with BitPim and all that, it's pretty cool....
But the thing is, my "Recent Calls" option doesn't work correctly. I'll try to delete all my calls in there, and it'll say "all calls erased," but when I go back, they're still there.
What's the matter with it? How can I fix it? I want to take it in to Verizon, but with the Bitpim supposedly ruining the warranty, I don't know what to do 
Help!
