Hello All,

A friend of mine just got the 8900 from Audiovox and they have no idea what they are doing. They have a data cable from, I think, Curitel and we need to know what type of image files it accepts and what types of ring tone files it accepts. Is it .mmf, .mid, or what?

I have a Sony Ericsson T637 and it is much easier to figure out because it has ifrared and Bluetooth. Also, my service provider doesn't lock the download/upload features like Telus has done with the 8900.

.png image files ::forgot deminsions:: most people have been sucessful w/ fireworks but you can use any other image prog. And it accepts .mid and .mp3s ::use planet ringtones' ringtone ripper:: please utilize the search feature because these questions have been answered, in detail, numerous times.

Haha - have you tried using the "Search" field? You get back a million threads with no relation to the topic. I don't have that much time.

I suggest you check out the 8900 Customization thread in the Telus FAQ. All of your questions are answered in there. A lot of the answers in this forum are specific to Verizon handsets, and following them increases the chance that you will turn your phone into an expensive paper weight.
